Hello! I am a fantasy storyteller working on various projects an author, scriptwriter, and graphic novelist (and the not too fantastic bread earner, editor). A dreamer at heart, I am fascinated by the unreal, unexplained and undefined and want to write about them. Each of my stories aims to prod boundaries and explore the other sides of happy, technicolour dreams and impressionist nightmares.
In an alternate life, I am a journalist and editor with seven years of experience running after people and looking for stories. I continue writing features for Mint. You can read them under the category Mint articles on my blog.
When not writing or daydreaming, I watch morbid movies, have passionate discussions with my friends, read the dictionary or go take a hike, literally. I get inspired by things like gulmohar trees with its red flowers, a steaming hot cup of green tea, the beautiful flight of a moth, weathered lips of an old man, the grayness in a blue sky or a crumpled news piece. My heart thumps with excitement by written works of Shakespeare, Lewis Carroll and Isaac Asimov, comics by Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore and Manga by Tite Kubo.
Currently I live in the city of Bangalore with my husband, Ashwani. I am working on various comic projects to create stories full of magic. (See Published and To be published in the main menu). My family, husband, muse (who has the uncanny habit of dropping by when I am sleeping) and keyboard help me in bringing these stories out of my head and on to the screen.
I work hard to knit fantasy with my writings and hope you enjoy reading it.
